Welcome Back!

You've just had the experience of a lifetime. How's it going now that you're back? Here are some things to think about, once you've had all the film developed, and called all those people who never got a postcard.

1.Did you get pre-approval for all your courses? If not, that's first on your list. You'll need to start right away with the transfer-of-credit process.
2.As a study abroad returnee, you are a valuable resource that UVA students need in order to make informed decisions about their study abroad choices. As you know, your program literature may or may not have portrayed the program as you experienced it. This is your opportunity to tell other Virginia students what the program was like. Please take a few minutes to complete the Program Evaluation Survey candidly in order to provide the best advice possible to your peers. A link to this survey will be emailed to you shortly after your return. Unless indicated below, this survey will be kept in a file for prospective study abroad participants to read, enabling them to benefit from your observations, personal knowledge, and first hand experience.
3.If you haven't written about your experience for the Out of Bounds column in the Cavalier Daily, there's no time like the present.
4.Feel like using your language skills? How about looking into volunteer opportunities in the community! Fluent in Spanish- how about volunteering at the health clinic in town as an interpreter or helping out at the public schools? Speak French? How about contacting the IRC (International Rescue Committee), to see if you can tutor French-speaking families who have recently been relocated here in Charlottesville?
